Working with professional dance artist and class facilitator, Virginia Duivenvoorden, participants explore movement as a means of expression through creative prompts. Learn to improvise, freestyle and create dance art and your own choreography. Move with the music and emote with various dance styles that may include hip-hop, K-pop, contemporary and more.
Learn pain science with a focus on the nervous system functioning in relation to persistent pain and chronic pain.
Practice breathing techniques to calm the nervous system. Learn in a beautiful and inspiring location at the Dance Centre in Vancouver.
Chronic pain has been recognized as pain that persists past normal healing time. Usually pain is regarded as chronic when it lasts or recurs for more than 3 to 6 months.
Evaluate your progress using pain and movement-based resources and use lessons to experience gentle movement exercises. Additional support is available with Anderson Performance Clinic.
